Enabling Your Future: Enable Infrastructure launch development programme

Enabling Your Future: Enable Infrastructure launch development programme

11 April 2022

Enable Infrastructure (formerly known as BCM Construction), in conjunction with the Enable Group, has launched a new programme called Enabling Your Future focused on providing a pathway back into work via skill development, industry exposure, and employment opportunities.

The programme is aligned with the company vision of “delivering social value through successful infrastructure projects” and our Group Values: Proactive Ownership Mindset, Collaboration, Health and Wellbeing, Productivity and Efficiency, and Continuous Improvement.

BCM and Enable have partnered with HMYOI Feltham and the prison rehabilitation charity Switchback. Over the last nine months, both partners have assisted Enable Infrastructure in developing the programme which was launched in December 2021.

This week, representatives from Enable Infrastructure and Enable: Daniel O’Dowd (Project Delivery Director), Steve Snell (Contractors Responsible Engineer), Benjamin Wilson (Safety Advisor) and Joe Deed (Electrical Construction Manager) visited HMYOI Feltham as part of the Saracens Sport Foundation ‘Get Onside’ project to introduce Enabling Your Future to various candidates and presented the Introduction to the Rail/Construction Industry module. Future Modules will include Health and Safety, Construction Skills, Project Life Cycle and Soft Skills.

Going forward, Enable Infrastructure and Enable intend to expand and refine the programme further with Switchback, HMYOI Feltham, and other NEET-focused charitable organisations by conducting more Learning Modules, assisting with employment, and supporting candidates on temporary release by giving them an experience on our sites, in the office, on railway infrastructure, and in the construction industry.

Daniel O’Dowd – Enable Infrastructure Project Delivery Director said:
“BCM and the Enable Group are very honoured and privileged to work with these charities and launch a programme that aligns with our vision, culture, and company values. This programme will hopefully give people a second chance and point them in the right direction when it comes to life choices. Personally, I’m delighted to be part of something that gives back to society, with a programme that can change people’s lives and mindset.”
