Meet David Stradling – GM for Enable Resourcing
8 March 2023
Meet David Stradling, General Manager of Enable Resourcing as we explore more about both his personal and professional sides…. and his mission at Enable Resourcing…
What is your professional background?
I played Rugby as a Winger and Centre for Wasps in the 90s before injury took its toll and I began a “real” career in Futures. A friend then recommended me for recruitment in Construction and here we are more than two decades later after stints with VolkerWessels UK, Fusion People & TFC among others.
What is Enable Resourcing?
Enable Resourcing is the newest member of Enable. Our focus is on recruiting and supplying all of Enable with the best people for our projects and group services. We benefit from being integrated into the Enable family, and are very much at the start of our journey as a team.
What are the strengths of Enable Resourcing?
For a new entity and a team of 5, we possess a lot of experience and industry knowledge. This allows us to build a strong database for our “Orange Army” and find excellent candidates for our “white-collar” opportunities. Being part of and integrated into the wider Enable world means we can leverage the investment, growth and amazing capabilities such unity affords. We are well-positioned to offer reliable, varied “blue collar” work allied with our terrific training pathways such as Supervision Transformed – a programme that trains the managers, leaders and directors of tomorrow – that together attract great people as a consequence.
What is the future for Enable Resourcing?
We have ambitious plans for growth. We are currently focused on internal labour supply for existing and upcoming projects alongside supporting other Enable teams as a whole. Eventually, we will become an active supplier for external partners as we mature. Ultimately we want people to see us as a partner in their professional journey within engineering and infrastructure. We want to help people realise their potential and offer them ladders to achieve more and become more.
